PINK Phoenix

Over 30,000 people showed up for Komen Race for the Cure. Sharing a few of the PINKs I saw today. More to follow. I was too tired after the race to do anything but sleep.

Rejected

No focus point.

Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3 ....

You're doing what under that table?

Mixed lighting - nothing looks right.

Gorgeous, but the other picture was better.

Selecting which pictures to reject takes the shortest amount of time. As I zip past the pictures anything that is too blurry to salvage or just seems off goes to the reject pile. The next bunch of rejects are good but one of the other shots is better. They do not need 5 shots of the flowers.

To Crop or Not to Crop

These two pictures are the same picture. One is cropped, one is not. This is a big question for digital artists since it is so easy to do in a computer.

Bias

Ansel Adams, a famous photographer, created beautiful nature pictures. His greatest secret - what he left outside of the picture frame. He pointed his camera to points of greatest interest and cropped out the rest. These two pictures were with in seconds of each other. (Hint: I made a link of his name to a selection of Google pictures associated with Ansel Adams. Just click on his name.)

Why Race?

Tshirts tell the story. In memory of... for those that have died. In celebration of... for those that have lived. The Pink Tshirt with 2166 the largest number of SUVIVORS walking in a single race. I am one of the survivors. I think thousands walking past the cemetery is symbolic of what the Komen Race is trying to achieve. We Race to Fight Cancer.
