Light dancing on the water. I keep trying to capture this elusive play between sunlight and water.

Now you don't. I love Photoshop. Amazing pictures can be enhanced in ways that no camera can accomplish. Can you see what I cheerfully removed?

Lonliness

Occasionally a picture captures a mood.

Two Moons

I can't do this all the time but occasionally when I am shooting pictures of the moon I can get double moons, one bright and the other showing the shadows on the moon. This was shot using a timer and tripod. So strange.

Full Moon

Capturing a full moon on a cloudy night poses some interesting problems. Fortunately, I had a tripod that helped steady the camera for a longer shot. Turned out different than I thought. I think I like the picture better than the original view. Interesting.

Inadequate

Sometimes the smallness of the image and the inadequacies of the internet keeps me from sharing how truly stunning this looked. My camera can get it, but it needs to be printed about 16 x 20 or bigger.

Hello Moon

I fell in love with the moon when I was a child watching the moon launches and Ansel Adams pictures used to convince the American public the importance of Man walking on the moon. I am old enough to have lived through history in the making. I enjoyed the past couple of weeks of the moon not setting until after sunrise. I need a better zoom.

Early Morning

Rewarded myself with an early morning trip to Phoenix Mountains. Winter is lovely since you don't have to get up so early for Sunrise. :)

Morning light again

I appreciate winter hours when the sun comes up at a more reasonable hour. Summer sun comes at 4:00 AM, I am just not up that early.

Morning light

I love early morning light. Some times I don't really appreciate the moment until I go back and look at the picture I captured. Light amazes me, soft and subtle or blinding and harsh. Light controls what I see and the camera 'sees.'

Inside rainbows

I love rainbows. The colors are incredible. I look for them where ever I go and sometimes I find them in the house. Crystal chandeliers are so fun.

I'm in every picture

Whether I am enamored by the beauty of the moon when I am surrounded by Chihuly glass while at the Botanical Garden or staring at the patterns of light in the water going down the drain, I am the one that decides what is in the frame.

Sunrise, Sunset

One morning I was out shopping very early and caught a spectacular sunrise over the grocery store. That night the sunset was no less spectacular behind the power lines. Urbanization doesn't stop beauty from shining through.

Light and shadow

Light and shadows are the essence of photography. One description of photography is painting with light. The lights and shadows on the rocks and waves caught my eye. I shot it from several different settings and angles hoping to capture the feeling of light playing on the water and rocks.
