July 4th

Last year's fireworks at Tempe Town Lake. I wonder if people paid as much attention to God's fireworks as they did the man made fire works later that night? His cost a lot less and happen more frequently. Enjoy celebrating the freedoms of this country.

Bridges

Have you ever noticed that the harder crossings are some of your most rewarding bridges to cross? Sometimes just the thought of crossing a bridge can change your perspective on the world you choose to stay in.
What are some of the bridges you are debating about crossing?

On the edge

Have you ever wondered how somebody can survive being on the edge? Perhaps you need to back up and look at the whole picture. I took pictures at a skate park. The young lady had a blast skate boarding around the bowl. But this one shot you can't see the skate board so it looks like she is defying gravity. She is with a skateboard. Do I look at the big picture when I look at someone else's success?

Arizona Pineapples

One can hardly believe that Pineapples can grow in Arizona, but then again maybe they don't. The birds enjoy the tasty treats but I don't think Hawaii's economy is any danger. I learned that moving back from a narrow focus will change my perspective.

Capturing lizards

I was born in Phoenix and raised in the wilds of Tempe many years ago. My brothers and I would catch horny toads, red racer snakes, crawdads and other creeping things. I still like capturing lizards. This little fellow was sunning himself at the Phoenix Botanical Gardens. He was so cooperative in letting me take his picture.

Sundays are special

Sunday is a day to contemplate God however you understand Him. As a Freshman in college my physics professor asked us to prove there was a God. The conversation was heated but no conclusion came. After class I asked him if he believed in a Supreme being. He smiled as he replied, "Anyone that is a scientist knows there is a Supreme being. The odds are too great for this to ever happen by accident." I look at nature all around me and know that God lives. I look at people and wonder from time to time. Enjoy your Sunday.
